The problem
Buyers increasingly ask an AI assistant to compare suppliers before they visit a website. If your services, locations and expertise aren’t clear and consistent across the web, those answers may describe you inaccurately, or leave you out.
What is answer engine optimisation (AEO)?
AEO is the work of making your content easy for AI assistants and search features to find, understand and quote as a direct answer.
It builds on SEO: crawlable pages, clear answers to real questions, consistent facts about your business, and evidence that others trust you. No one can guarantee an AI will cite you; AEO improves your eligibility and your odds.
What is generative engine optimisation (GEO)?
GEO focuses on how generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot describe and recommend businesses.
It covers the facts these tools hold about your brand, the sources they draw on, and tracking how you appear in their answers across a sample of real prompts, by engine, language and location.
SEO, AEO and GEO compared
| SEO | AEO | GEO | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goal | Rank and earn clicks in search results | Be quoted as the direct answer | Be described and recommended accurately by AI tools |
| Where it shows | Google and Bing results | AI overviews, featured answers, voice assistants | ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and similar assistants |
| Main levers | Technical health, relevance, links | Answer-first content, structure, clear entities | Brand facts, trusted sources, citations |
| How it’s measured | Impressions, rankings, qualified visits | Answer appearances and cited pages | Mentions and citations across a tracked prompt set |
All three depend on the same foundation: pages that can be crawled, understood and trusted.
What’s included
Technical search foundations
Crawlability, speed, mobile usability, structured data that matches visible content, and crawler access decisions for search and AI bots.
Entity and authority
Consistent facts about your organisation, people, services and locations across your site and external profiles.
Answer-first content
Service pages and guides that answer the questions buyers really ask, in English and Arabic.
AI visibility tracking
A dated panel of real prompts checked across AI assistants, with the pages they cite.
How we measure
We report on outcomes, not rankings alone.
- Qualified organic visits
- Query coverage
- AI mentions and citations
- Cited pages
- Qualified enquiries
AI answers vary by user, location and time, so prompt tracking is a directional sample, not a complete census.
Start with the AI Discovery Baseline
A fixed-scope first step that shows where you stand and what to do next.
- Technical and search baseline
- A sample set of buyer queries checked across AI assistants
- Entity and brand-fact review
- A prioritised 90-day plan
What we won’t promise
We won’t guarantee rankings or AI citations. Search engines and AI systems decide what to crawl, cite and display. Structured data doesn’t guarantee rich results, and files such as llms.txt are optional experiments, not a substitute for crawlable, useful pages. What we do promise is clear work, honest measurement and a plan you can act on.
Questions
Can you guarantee we will appear in ChatGPT or Google AI answers?
No. Search engines and AI systems decide what to crawl, cite and display. We improve your technical eligibility, content, entity clarity and evidence, and we measure the change, but no one can honestly promise a placement.
How long does it take to see results?
Technical fixes can be reflected within weeks of being recrawled. Content and authority work usually takes several months to show in search and AI visibility. The baseline gives you a 90-day plan with the measures we will track.
Do you work in Arabic as well as English?
Yes. We plan Arabic and English content together and test visibility in both languages, so each version answers the questions people actually ask in that language.
Is AEO a replacement for SEO?
No. AEO and GEO build on SEO. AI answer features still depend on pages that can be crawled, understood and trusted, so search fundamentals come first.
